Our Admission Policy

Our goals

The goal of the Electrical Engineering Department is to nurture talented engineers who can contribute to the advancement of the technologically sophisticated, highly automated electronics society in the new millennium. We seek to nurture:

  • Engineers with the basic knowledge in electrical engineering, and the ability to effectively apply this knowledge in the field.
  • Autonomous engineers with rich engineering knowledge, rational thinking, and communication abilities.
  • Trusted engineers and responsible leaders who constantly strive to improve their capabilities through training.
We have research and education programs in the following areas to nurture such engineers:

  • Functional Electronics and Systems
  • Communication Technology
  • Semiconductor technology
  • Superconductivity
  • Oxides and New Materials
  • Electromagnetics
  • Optoelectronics
  • Power Engineering
The fundamental classes which will form the basis for advanced classes are taught in 2 small parallel classes, and also are supported by graduate students. The lab courses and experiments are also supported by numerous teaching assistants to help students on close to a one on one basis. We also have Technical English classes to meet the growing demand for English in engineering.

Students sought

    We seek students who are:

  • Willing to give significant contributions to make the coming technology driven society a better place to live through their knowledge in electrical engineering and electronics.
  • Willing to challenge anything  which will advance their understanding and capability in electrical engineering and electronics.
