Electrical, Informatics , and Systems Departments
School of Engineering
The corridor between Buildings 7 and 8, where
most of the EE offices are located, someday in July
The goal of the Electrical
Engineering Department is to
nurture talented engineers who can contribute to the advancement of the
technologically sophisticated, highly automated electronics society in
the new millennium.
We seek to nurture:
We have research and education programs in the following areas to
nurture such engineers:
- Engineers with the basic knowledge in electrical
engineering, and the ability to effectively apply this knowledge in the
- Autonomous engineers with rich engineering knowledge,
rational thinking, and communication abilities.
- Trusted engineers and responsible leaders who constantly
strive to improve their capabilities through training.
- Functional Electronics and Systems
- Communication Technology
- Semiconductor technology
- Oxides and New Materials
- Power Engineering
The fundamental classes which
will form the basis for advanced classes
are taught in 2 small parallel classes, and also are
supported by graduate students. The lab courses and experiments are
also supported by numerous teaching assistants to help students on
close to a one on one
basis. We also have Technical English classes to meet the growing
demand for English in engineering.
We seek students
- Willing to give significant contributions to make the
coming technology driven society a better place to live through their
knowledge in electrical engineering and electronics.
- Willing to challenge anything which will advance
their understanding and capability in electrical engineering and
